About White Dragon Designs

My name is Ruth Hilton-Robinson and White Dragon Designs is the business I started when I decided to concentrate on my passion for knitting and designing as well as other crafts.
I'm a registered adult nurse by training and I started knitting as a hobby. However, I soon realised that I wasn't truly happy unless I had a pair of needles and some yarn in my hands. This progressed to creating my own designs and publishing some free patterns on Ravelry and suddenly I began to wonder if I could actually make knitting my living...
When I took the difficult decision to leave nursing for health reasons, the question everyone asked was "What now?" Initially, my honest answer was, "I don't know," but the more I thought about it the more I realised that I already knew what I wanted to do - and White Dragon Designs was born.
Why 'White Dragon' Designs? That would be telling. It's my fervent hope that some of you will work it out - if you do, please drop me an email, it will make the dragon very happy!
I hope you enjoy the patterns and designs, and look forward to meeting you either through tuition, workshops or craft fairs and events.
